Fort Taber – Fort Rodman Flag Honors WWII Veteran Albert S. Broadland

 

1300 × 733?During the month of December, the 28th Lights for Peace flag flies at the Fort Taber - Ford Rodman Military Museum to honor the memory of Albert S. Broadland. Formerly a resident of New Bedford, Albert served honorably during World War II with the 98th Bombardment Group of the United States Army Air Corps.

Gomes not only served his country as a member of the United States Army during WWII, he also served the city of New Bedford, working as a firefighter for 26 years. “Lights for Peace” Flag to Honors J. G. “Roma” Dussault, Survivor of the Attack on the USS Bunker Hill

During the month of December, the 4th Lights for Peace flag to fly at the Fort Taber - Fort Rodman Military Museum honors the memory of Aviation Machinist’s Mate Third Class, Joseph G. “Roma” Dussault, a plane captain, serving in the United States Navy during WWII. Dussault survived the bombing of the USS Bunker Hill on May 11, 1945 by a kamikaze pilot.
